3 April 2019, a WE R FOOD experience in Porta Nuova, Milan, for the presentation of a special edition of the premium beer Alhambra Reserva 1925. An exclusive event organised with the support of creative agency Madhouse to unveil the striking bottles created by internationally renowned artist Alan Sastre. Alhambra on Canvas was a sparkling occasion to tell the story of a brand that loves to reinvent itself, always in the name of craftsmanship.

During the event, four contemporary Italian makers presented further installations, each with unique work rooted in craftsmanship.
Odd Garden, a design studio specialising in "green" design, exhibited “Estate di fine millennio” a piece made up of polygonal wooden structures that housed plant compositions, creating a green corner reminiscent of the gardens of the Alhambra palace in Granada.
Geometrie e Natura di Rotalab was born from the use of raw wood to shape seats and stands that evoke nature and invite meditation.
Inner light bubbles is the structure that the cultural association Orthographe created using laser beams, deflected by prisms and mirrors, to set the Alhambra Reserva 1925 bottle like a jewel.
GB created “The story of the wishing well, a message in a bottle, and the public The Flamingos Fountain”. Drawing inspiration from the Fountain of the Lions at the Alhambra fortress in Andalusia, rather than depicting the pride of those regal animals, the artist replaced them with pink flamingos — more unconventional and typical of our contemporary society. The installation invited the public on a journey to express wishes and release emotions.

For the occasion, WE R FOOD designed a food installation through a selection of 5 finger foods dedicated to the iconic 1925 bottle, an extra lager with low-temperature fermentation. A selection inspired by the taste and aroma profile of the Spanish beer. As you savour its flavour, you'll pick up notes of toasted cereal and caramel, balanced by a medium-bitter finish. These notes fade to make way for more complex flavours: honey, orange and a touch of liquorice.
