From 4 to 11 May, the city of Milan dedicates a week to good food and food culture, bringing to life, through events and food and wine trails, the supply chain of Lombardy's excellence. For the occasion, we selected products from farms, wineries and rural farmsteads across Lombardy and presented a four-course menu with Rigolo: an off-menu dish that the restaurant will serve exclusively during Milano Food City, guiding guests to discover the traditions tied to the history and culture of the Lombard territories. The architecture studio P+R+V will narrate the chosen food and wine journey through the table setting and dishes, aiming to restore new value to the ingredients.
A selection of cured meats and cheeses, a reserve rice from the province of Milan, white asparagus from Cantello and apples from Valtellina, representing Lombardy's DOP and IGP products. The sense of place was interpreted in architectural and topographical terms by studio P+R+V, who, to pay tribute to the city of Milan, drew inspiration from the tradition of the good memory plate imagining a possible mise en place. The icons of Milanese architecture take centre stage, from the Duomo to the Unicredit Tower, taking in the Velasca Tower, the Ca' Brutta and the Pirelli skyscraper.
